In June 2004, Keyboard Magazine did a brief review of our debut, self-produced disk:
"Synthesist Aaron Krister Johnson and percussionist Andy Hasenpflug comprise this duo, whose accessible brand of improvisational noise music or sound sculpture echoes Louis and Bebe Barron, Morton Subotnick, and Iannis Xenakis. Melody, chords, and texture are often the same think in Johnson's synth work, which makes lingering visits to temperamental climates other than 12-tone equal. Even at its most adventurous, there's a light, gossamer feel to the synth sounds that avoids the grating sound common to much noise music.
Hasenpflug is a bit more limited by the physical capabilities of his drums and percussion instruments, but his work is equally challenging and creative, often leaving identifiable meters behind.
Standing slightly apart from the rest of the work, the humorous "Plastic Bathtub Toys" lightens the proceedings considerably and reveals a refreshing lack of self-seriousness...."
